Halloween Haunts: Educational hikes start every seven minutes and include interesting facts about nature and pumpkins. Wehr Nature Center, 9701 W. College Ave., Franklin, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. $10/person, $7/Milwaukee County residents and Friends of Wehr members. County.milwaukee.gov

MKE Oktoberfest: Live polka music, weiner dog racing, brat eating contest and more. Veterans Park, 1010 N. Lincoln Memorial Drive, Milwaukee.

Boo at the Zoo: This fun Halloween event features a pumpkin patch filled with glowing, hand-carved pumpkins and rides on the “Raven’s Rail” train, among other family-friendly activities. Milwaukee County Zoo, 10001 W. Bluemound Road, Milwaukee, 6 to 9 p.m. Included with regular admission. Milwaukeezoo.org

Halloween Glen: Actors will present interactive skits along the luminaria-lighted trails. Families can then make craft projects, watch Halloween cartoons and enjoy refreshments. MPS Central Services (Guests will ride a bus from there to Hawthorn Glen.), 5225 W.
